Hello Bennett!
This week in movement, we continued to work on the concept of Size. We practiced big and small shapes, big and small locomotor movements, and we even began to make a dance that incorporates size! We took 4 gestures done at a normal (medium) size (ask your child if they can show you Gesture 1, Gesture 2, Gesture 3, and Gesture 4!), put them in an order (practicing sequence), and then as a class figured out how to make these gestures bigger! They did an awesome job at this, applying the concept of size, and also learning and manipulating choreography (even though they may not realize that’s what we were doing). I am really excited to dance with your children again next week, and to see how they take on the challenge of making a small dance!
Best,
Jessie Madden
