Last week in movement we learned about another new dance concept: Size! We focused on big, which is when you are stretched out as far away from your tummy (your core) as possible, and small, which is when you are as close to your tummy as possible. We practiced freezing in shapes that were small and big, moving non-locomotor small and big, and moving locomotor across the floor small and big. We also started to learn a short gesture dance that next week we are going to try and make small and big versions of! Ask your child if they liked moving small or big the best! A lot of awesome creativity is happening in dance class; I can't wait to keep it going!
